I could eat that brisket wrap three times a day. I really miss it. I’m glad you’ve fallen for Steve’s. Please try the sweet potato cookies! I think they count as a daily vegie!

The meatloaf is another winner. Too bad he is moving; my office is literally across the street. Keep up the great reviews.

Steve’s, Hal & Mal’s, Basil’s, Keifer’s, George Street, Two Sisters, Miller’s Grill, and the Mayflower are usually in my downtown lunch rotation. The fries are fantastic at Miller’s Grill on Capitol - get the special sauce for dipping.

Hah, I just had one and it was as good as ever! I also tried the Thai soup, which I’d never had, and I liked it a lot (I slightly prefer the Senegalese, but this one was a bit spicier, in a good way). And yesterday I got the Red Beans & Rice (Monday’s plate lunch) and it was seriously one of my favorite red beans & rice that I’ve had in a long time. It had a very hearty, slightly spicy sauce.

AND, Steve told us today that he’s got a set-up (I’m not clear exactly what kind of set-up) over in a hallway at the Pinnacle Building (at Lamar and Capitol Sts) where he’s trying out a few new sandwiches.

Completely agree on those two choices. In fact, I may walk across the street in an hour and grab a brisket wrap!
