I admit that I was biased in favor of F. Jones Corner (303 N. Farish St., Jackson) as soon as  saw their t-shirts, which say “Revitalizing Jackson, One Beer at a Time.”

A friend told me that the Blue Rooster (4822 Hwy 22, Flora) has the best burgers around. Then she told me I should call ahead to make sure they were open because they have unreliable hours, and I was there. I tend to have an affinity for places with unreliable hours.
Turns out they were open that Saturday for lunch (they may or may not actually have unreliable hours). They definitely do have some serious burgers.
