I ordered my food from Bill’s Greek Tavern (4760 McWillie Dr, Jackson) to go, but everyone in the restaurant was having such a good time that I wished I could stay. Next time, I will be bringing some wine and eating in.

Wraps (1220 E Northside Dr, Jackson) is a small, cozy, extremely friendly Greek place and is very much my new gyro go-to spot.
I ordered the tilapia gyro, above. It was delicious, and different from a typical gyro in ways other than the type of meat. The batter was flavorful and added a nice texture, making up for the softness of the fish itself. The tzatziki seemed fresher and thicker than many I’ve had and the whole thing was just a bit sweeter and richer than most gyros.
